D. April 21-Beef Quality Training TBQP
Beef producers can get free training to help them become more competitive by attending the Texas Beef Quality Producer

E. May 1 — Stored Grain Pest Workshop
This workshop is designed to address the critical issues of economic competitiveness, and proper use of chemicals in the environment.

F. May 12– Beef Parasite Evaluation Clinic
If you would like to have your herd tested for internal parasites, please have samples delivered to the Lubbock County Extension offices by 4:00 pm on Monday, May 11th, 2009

G. June 18 — After CRP Program
Thursday June 18th we will be holding a “After CRP Program” discussing what to do with you CRP land once it comes out of the CRP Program.

H. July 23-25 Kirk Stierwalt Steer Clinic
These clinics have been very successful in helping people of all ages acquire the skills needed to put the “competitive edge” on their side.

I. August 14th — Alfalfa Production Workshop

J. August 25, 26 QuickBooks Pro Course
Texas AgriLife Extension Service will offer QuickBooks Pro computer short course on Aug. 25-26 in Lubbock.

All those interested in South Plains agriculture should mark their calendars for the centennial celebration Sept. 17 at the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center

M. October 12 — Pesticide Collection Day
Some of the items we can accept: ? Pesticides ? Oil/Oil filters2/Grease ? Herbicides ? Gasoline/Diesel fuel ? Insecticides ? Rodenticides ? Anti-freeze ? Lead-acid batteries ? Growth regulators ? Paint ? Harvest aid chemicals ? Fluorescent bulbs etc.

N. December 2 — High Plains Ag Conferenc
TDA -Recieve 5 CEU’s in one day. CCA- Recieve 5 CEU’s in one day

O. December 12 — 4-H and FFA Species Clinic
The main purpose is to teach the basic principles of livestock management as they relate to facility maintenance, selection, nutrition, animal health, handling, showmanship and transportation.

P. December 13 — Lamb and Goat Jackpot
The North Region will be hosting a Lamb and Goat Jackpot .
